Adelante Success Program

Now Hiring Specialist to Support Launch of New Program

The Hispanics of Lake County Association (HOLCA) is proud to announce it has received a grant to launch the Adelante Success Program, a workforce initiative dedicated to helping immigrant and refugee professionals secure skill-aligned employment. This funding allows us to bridge the gap between our community’s untapped talent and the local economy. We are now seeking a Bilingual Employment Specialist to lead this launch and directly change lives by connecting professionals with the resources they need to thrive.


Bilingual Employment Specialist (Grant-Funded)

The Hispanics of Lake County Association (HOLCA) invites you to join an organization dedicated to bridging the gap between our local community and the essential resources needed to flourish through workforce development, humanitarian outreach, and multicultural awareness.


Position Overview

The Bilingual Employment Specialist is a 12-month, grant-funded, part-time contract position responsible for implementing and growing our professional workforce initiatives under the Adelante Success Program. The primary focus is assisting immigrant and refugee professionals in securing skill-aligned employment. As the lead for the Upwardly Global partnership, you will manage a specialized online learning platform and act as a general representative for the organization in the community. This 1099 position is outcomes-based and offers the right candidate opportunities for growth within the organization as we expand our programs. This part time position requires approximately 10-15 hours per week and does not include benefits.

We are looking for someone who can start in late March or early April.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead administrator for the Upwardly Global Learning platform, managing the coaching dashboard and monitoring participant progress through digital modules.
  • Meet or exceed established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including specific targets for client enrollment, module completion, and job placements.
  • Develop a case management system to track client caseloads and prepare monthly progress reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Provide professional, culturally competent guidance in English and Spanish to help clients customize resumes and prepare for interviews.
  • Attend networking events, resource fairs, and local meetings to increase organizational visibility and recruit eligible professionals.
  • Collaborate with community partners such as Lake Tech and CareerSource to promote programs and recruit eligible clients.
  • Give presentations and workshops about the Adelante Success Program to promote the services offered and recruit eligible clients.
  • Report on program progress and milestones to the Board of Directors.
  • Complete the required practitioner training and check-in sessions provided by Upwardly Global.


Qualifications

  • Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in workforce development, recruitment, social services, or program coordination.
  • Proficiency with digital platforms and the ability to manage a web-based learning dashboard.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to create data-tracking systems and formal reports.
  • Professional demeanor suitable for representing the organization at public events and board-level presentations.
  • Interest in supporting the growth of a locally-serving nonprofit


Contract Details

  • 1099 Independent Contractor
  • 12-month grant-funded term.
  • $750 monthly service fee.
  • Scope of work typically requires 10-15 hours per week to meet program milestones
  • Potential career growth opportunities as additional grants are acquired
