Adelante Success Program

Hispanics of Lake County Association is proud to present the Adelante Success Program, a professional workforce initiative funded through a grant by the Hispanic Federation. This program is specifically designed to help immigrant and refugee professionals overcome barriers to employment and secure roles that align with their previous experience and skills.

The Adelante Success Program provides a structured pathway for professionals to transition into the U.S. workforce. By combining individualized coaching with advanced digital learning tools, we empower participants to rebuild their careers and contribute their expertise to the regional economy.

Participants in the program have access to a comprehensive suite of professional development resources at no cost:

• Individualized career coaching and the development of a formal Career Plan.
  
• Access to specialized online learning software and professional skilling platforms.
  
• Coordination for industry-recognized certifications, such as OSHA or Microsoft.
  
• Resume customization and intensive interview preparation.
  
• Direct referrals to regional partners for job placement opportunities.
  
• Connection to essential community resources, including food, shelter, and healthcare.

To ensure the best outcomes for our participants, we suggest the following minimum requirements:

• Previous academic or vocational education.
• Intermediate or advanced English fluency.
• Basic computer skills to navigate online platforms and digital dashboards.
• Full commitment to the professional development and job search process.

The program is designed as a clear, step-by-step journey from initial outreach to professional placement:

1. Recruitment and Screening: Potential participants are identified through community outreach and screened for program alignment.
   
2. Initial Consultation: Enrollees meet with the Bilingual Employment Specialist to establish a personalized Career Plan.
   
3. Skill Building and Certification: Participants engage with the skilling platform to complete training modules and earn industry certifications.
   
4. Job Search and Placement: Using gainful skills and a customized resume, participants work with partners to secure employment.
   
5. Exit Counseling and Graduation: A final review determines program completion and readiness for the next stage of professional growth.

As this is an outcomes-based initiative, participants are expected to maintain regular contact with their career coach, track their progress via the digital dashboard, and actively work toward the milestones established in their Career Plan.'
